Campbell Creek is 20 minutes east of the Kamloops city centre and is home to the Kamloops Wildlife Park on Dallas Drive. Campbell creek is a beautiful, quiet area set up against the southern hills of Kamloops.

Some residents do have homes that back on to the Wildlife park or park land offering the owners privacy.
There are two strata developments in Campbell Creek. Kermode Landing at 8960 Dallas Drive consists of walk up town homes that are attached and feature single car garages. This development was built in 2024 and 2025. The second strata development in Campbell Creek is located at 8800 Dallas Drive and it is called the Burrows. These units consist of detached bare land strata homes and semi-attached duplex style homes. Each of these homes have yards, single or double garages and feature a number of different layouts. There is a central walking loop and grassy space for the residents to enjoy.
Shopping
Residents shop in the Valleyview area where Save-On Foods grocery store, Shoppers Drug Mart and other smaller retailers are located. The Flying J and the Co-Op Gas Station are located 5 minutes from Campbell Creek. The Flying J has a gas station, convenience store and restaurant. There also is a smaller retail space in Dallas called the Dallas Town Centre located less than a 10 minute drive from Campbell Creek. Dallas Town Centre has a small grocery store, BC Liquor Store, Subway, Gas Station and a couple other smaller retailers.
Major shopping is located 20 to 25 minutes west of Campbell Creek in the Sahali, Aberdeen and Southgate areas of Kamloops.

Schools
Students in Campbell creek attend Dallas Elementary School and Valleyview Secondary School. Students gain access to these schools by way of a school bus.
Thompson Rivers University is a 25 minute drive from Campbell Creek. There is public transportation servicing the Campbell Creek area.
Recreation

There are also hiking trails, a public boat launch near Lafarge and many other outdoors activities to enjoy nearby. Boaters can access the Shuswap Lakes along the south Thompson River.
There currently are not any playgrounds in the immediate area.
There are two golf courses located fairly close to Campbell Creek. Rivershore Golf Links is approximately a 10 minute drive from Campbell Creek along the South Thompson River.
Pineridge Golf Course sits along the side of the Trans Canada Highway #1 in Dallas and is a five minute drive from Campbell Creek.
Transportation
There is a bus route that services this area. The bus stop is on Dallas Drive which is within minutes from each home in this area. Click here to view the BC Transit website.

The Kamloops Airport is a 35 minute drive North West from Campbell Creek.

Barriere is located 45 minutes or 66 kilometers north of the city of Kamloops along the Yellowhead Highway #5. Barriere officially became a municipality on December 4th, 2007 and has it’s own city centre that has everything you would need. The population of Barriere is approximately 3,000. The main industry in Barriere is forestry but tourism has increased allowing for another industry to emerge. The Thompson Valley Rodeo is one of the events in Barriere that draws quite a crowd. Barriere has a number of lakes in the area to enjoy many that feature white sand beaches.
Barriere has a range of properties such as mobile homes in a park, a few townhouses and duplex homes, homes on smaller residential lots, small to large acreages and recreational lakefront properties.
Most of the smaller residential lots are also found close to Barriere city centre. The newest development is found near the corner of Barriere Town Road (Northern access) and the Yellowhead Highway #5. This is where you will find the newest homes as well as serviced lots ready for new homes. Other roads such as Amnesty Road, McLean Road, Gibbs Road, Oriole Way, Deejay Road, Barkley Road, Mountain Road, Dunsmuir Road and Bartlett Road house residential properties that are under one acre in size.
There are a number of these properties found along the Yellowhead Highway but they can also be found on Barriere Lakes Road, Agate Bay Road and Dunn Lake Road to name a few. Alfalfa is the primary crop grown on farms and many properties house cattle and other livestock. Many acreages are located close to Barriere city centre allowing owners to have access to the essentials.
East and North Barriere Lakes. East Barriere Lake houses more recreational property development than North Barriere. There are numerous outdoors activities that can be enjoyed in Barriere. This regions is known as an outdoors paradise year round. Residents and visitors in the winter enjoy world class snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, skating (on frozen lakes) and any other winter activities you can think of. Sun Peaks ski resort, a year round resort is a 45 minute drive from Barriere adding more recreational activities to the already long list.
The areas Vinsula and McLure are located 25 minutes or approximately 48 kilometers north of the city of Kamloops. Vinsula is located minutes after the Sun Peaks Resort exit in Heffley Creek (33 Kilometers from Kamloops). The area of McLure follows Vinsula and is about 48 kilometers north of Kamloops or 23 kilometers south of Barriere.

Properties in the areas of McLure and Vinsula mainly consist of small to large acreages. These areas are split by the Yellowhead Highway #5 and are easily accessible from the Highway. Most properties sit near to the North Thompson River in the valley between the river to the west and hills to the east. There are some properties located along dirt roads in McLure and Vinsula such as Vinsula Knouff Lake Road. There are some smaller properties that are one acre in size or smaller and they are on mainly Pinegrove Road in McLure. Smaller acreages are found on Walterdale Road, Glengrove Road, McLure Ferry Road and Kealty Road to name a few. The remainder of the properties in the area are quarter sections or larger that house livestock or grow hay.
There are many outdoors activities to enjoy in this region. Hiking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, motor sports such as dirt biking, ATVing or snowmobiling, trail riding, fishing and more. This area is very close to many fishing lakes such as Knouff Lake, Heffley Lake and Sullivan Lake. Big Heffley Lake is also within 20 minutes where watersports are enjoyed in the warmer months and ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross country skiing in the winter months.
Pritchard is located 30 minutes or 39 kilometers south east of the City of Kamloops. The majority of the properties in Pritchard are small to large acreages. There is one area where smaller city lots exist (approximately 0.25 acre lots) and are largely dominated by modular or manufactured homes. Pritchard is a rural area with few amenities close. There are a lot of recreational, outdoor activities that are easily accessible in Pritchard area.
The area of Pritchard is located along Highway #1 East of the City of Kamloops. This area is split by the Highway, one area of Pritchard rests at the valley bottom along the South Thompson River and the other area of Pritchard stretches into the southern hills and mountains. The smaller residential lots are located at the valley bottom across the Pritchard bridge on Decamillis Road, Bostock Crescent, Gerella Road, Gore Road, Anker Road and Foort Road to name a few.
There are a number of outdoors activities to enjoy in the Pritchard area. In the summer it is easy to power boat from Pritchard, up the south Thompson River to Shuswap Lake. There are a number of fishing lakes in the area, cross country skiing, off road adventures on ATV, dirtbike or snowmobile, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking and hiking.
