Neighbourhood: Juniper Heights, Kamloops, B.C. Real Estate. Juniper Heights or Juniper Ridge is a community located 10 minutes south east of the Kamloops downtown core and sits above Valleyview. It is a great family community where kids of all ages can keep busy with outdoors activities.

Properties & Real Estate
Many of the streets in Juniper Ridge are named after rivers in British Columbia. Names such as Nechako, Skeena, Babine, Coldwater etc.
There are a number of different types of properties up in Juniper Ridge. For the most part the community is dominated by single family homes, new and old. There is a single family home in Juniper to suit every buyer’s needs. A number of properties in Juniper have pools, mature landscaping and private yards.
There are also a few of townhouse and multi-family developments throughout Juniper. Two strata developments are located on Qu’appelle Boulevard (Juniper Gate – 2210 Qu’appelle, Juniper Terrace – 2050 Qu’appelle).
Juniper Court (2526 Nechako Drive) and Nechako View Estates are townhouse developments (2630 Nechako Drive) is located close to the elementary school.
The furthest east development is located at 1799 Babine Drive – Babine Heights. These duplex style townhomes were constructed in 2020.
To the south west, on Coldwater Drive you will find a bare land strata development that features detached smaller single family homes along with duplex style homes. Coldwater Terrace was built in around 2013. Some of the homes have sweeping mountain and valley views.
Further down to the west there is Silverwood Pointe located at 1855 Qu’appelle Blvd. These units are duplex style walk up and rancher layouts. Canyon Gate (1951 Qu’appelle Blvd) and The Ridge strata development are similar in style all featuring a walk up style home.

Q Eighteen is one of the only condo development in the Juniper area. This development was constructed in 2025 and features condo units of all sizes and layouts. These units also include secure underground parking and many have beautiful views of the city, mountains and valley.

There are two areas of Juniper Ridge where you will find newer development. The Benchlands, which is located at the eastern portion of Juniper. There many homes that have breathtaking views. The Benchlands is known for it’s larger, executive homes on executive sized lots.
Another area of new construction is Juniper West, which is located close to the entrance to Juniper Heights off of Highland Drive. This area of Juniper features a number of different types of home from condo apartments, townhouses and detached single family of all sizes and features.

Shopping & Services
Limited shopping or commercial activities exist in this community. There is a small community store named the Juniper Market. Further plans are in the works to further develop this small commercial area. There is more shopping at the foot of the Juniper hill in Valleyview where there is a Save on foods, Shoppers Drug Mart and many other smaller retailers. There are also a number of restaurants, fast food restaurants, coffee shops, professional services and banks. The main shopping district in Kamloops is a short 10 to 12 minute drive from Juniper Heights.
Schools
There is an elementary school located in Juniper named Juniper Ridge Elementary School. Secondary students attend Valleyview Secondary school. Students do have the option to go to high school by school bus that services the Juniper area.
Recreation
There is also a fantastic mountain bike park for mountain biking enthusiasts. This park is called the Kamloops Bike Ranch. There are trails for every level which are clearly marked and maintained.
There are also sports fields and a baseball diamond in Juniper. The Juniper Ridge Elementary School does have a playground for children. Juniper is surrounded by forest and there are many trails to explore. On the silt bluffs that are between the Juniper Ridge area and Valleyview below there is an extensive network of trails for hiking and biking.
The Valleyview Arena is located at the foot of Highland Drive, the main feeder road to Juniper.
Transportation

Access to Trans Canada Highway #1 is close by. Highland Drive, which is the feeder route for Juniper meets the TC Highway and is a five to ten minute drive from any area of Juniper.
The Kamloops Airport is located North West of Juniper and is approximately 22 kilometers or 25 minutes drive.

Surrounding Communities
Cherry Creek is located approximately 15 minutes west of the Kamloops city centre. Cherry Creek is the area near the intersection of the Coquihalla highway and the #1 highway and reaches as far as Savona and Tobiano. Cherry Creek consists mainly of homes on small to large acreages. There is also one mobile home park in the area.
