Knutsford is located 15 minutes south of the city of Kamloops. The Old Merritt Highway 5A runs through the Knutsford area. Some areas of Knutsford are within a five minute drive of Aberdeen Mall. Knutsford mainly consists of small to large acreages, farms and
ranches. There are a couple of small mobile home parks in the area as well. Knutsford is known for it’s wide open rolling hills with views for miles. Knutsford is located at a higher elevation than the city of Kamloops and tends to get a little more snow in the winter but in the summer it is not quite as hot.
The Knutsford Hall is a popular place for locals to meet for events and gatherings and has a capacity of up to 110 people. The Hall is located on Highway 5A just outside of Aberdeen.
Properties & Real Estate
The two mobile home parks in the area are Knutsford Knoll Mobile Home Park (2867 Highway 5A) and Knutsford Tent and Trailer Park (2721 Highway 5A). These parks are easily accessible from the highway.
The majority of Knutsford is dominated by ranches and farms. Many of the properties are located off of Long Lake Road, Highway 5A, Rose Hill Road, Goose Lake Road, Weir Road, Jackson Road, Separation Road and Edith Lake Road. The majority of the properties in Knutsford are on septic system. For water, homes are either a drilled well or have water delivered. There are a few select properties that border Aberdeen that do have city services.
There are no multi-family or townhouse developments in this area.

Shopping
Knutsford does not have it’s own shopping district. You will find ranches and farms that sell eggs and other products but there are not any large commercial developments.
Most areas of Knutsford are within five to 15 minutes of the Aberdeen area of Kamloops. Aberdeen has a number of stores and shops such as the Aberdeen Mall, Costco, many restaurants, and more. Knutsford is a great location for people who want to live in a country setting but also want to be close to city amenities.
Highway 5A leads directly to Highway #1 which is the main route through Kamloops making other shopping districts such as Downtown Kamloops and Valleyview very accessible.
Schools
Knutsford is serviced by school bus and students have the choice of a few schools. It will take about 15 to 30 minutes by school bus to most schools in the area. Click here for further school information.
Recreation
There are many outdoors activities to enjoy in Knutsford such as horseback riding, motor sports, hiking, boating (Stump Lake is close as well as other small fishing lakes), fishing and more. Stump Lake is the only lake in the area that allows gas powered boats, other lakes such as Edith Lake, Separation Lake, McLeod Lake and Flat Lake are only fishing Lakes.
Knutsford is also very close to the city of Kamloops and can access many city amenities like the Tournament Capital Centre and other popular activities in Kamloops.

The Dunes: This popular course is located in Westsyde, 15 minutes from the Kamloops city centre. It is a beautiful golf course set on the river’s edge carved out of the sands of the Thompson river riverbed. The course is 18 holes, 7,131 yards of challenging golf and was voted the 2007 best new golf course by Golf Digest Magazine. Rivershore Golf Links: This golf course is located 20 minutes east of downtown Kamloops. Created in the 1970′s, Rivershore is set up against the sagebrush-covered hills to the north and the South Thompson River to the south. This 18 hole course is challenging and has held numerous tournaments over the years. Sun Rivers Golf Course & Community: Sun Rivers is a unique golf community perched above the Thompson river valley just ten minutes from downtown Kamloops. Tobiano Golf Course & Community: Tobiano is located south west of the city of Kamloops at the western end of Kamloops Lake. This course offers 18 holes of golf with breathtaking views of the lake and valley below. Savona and Tobiano are located south west of the city of Kamloops at the western end of Kamloops Lake. From Kamloops it’s approximately a 15 to 35 minute drive depending on the destination. This is rural living with few shopping areas and amenities.
Parts of Savona are classified as
smaller properties on much smaller lots, some of these properties can be found on Savona Access Road, Watson Drive, Buie Street and Ernest Street. There are often a few mobiles or modular homes for sale in the Savona area. Savona has a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy year round. Swimming, hiking, dirt biking, ATV riding, snowmobiling and
boating. Savona is home to Steelhead Provincial Park which is located on the south west shore of Kamloops Lake. Visitors to this park can enjoy camping, picnicking, fishing, paddling, swimming and hiking.
Previously six mile Ranch, Tobiano is set on a 1,000 acres overlooking Kamloops lake and surrounded by 17,000 acres of wilderness area. Tobiano is set up like a village resort town with numerous recreational amenities. An 18 hole golf course, numerous hiking and back country biking trails, cross country skiing and snow
shoeing are a few of the recreational activities available in and around Tobiano. Tobiano is still a developing community and some of the amenities are in the process of being built such as a 100 slip public marina and an equestrian centre. There are numerous homes in Tobiano bordering the beautiful golf course. Summers Landing is a single family home and townhouse development that sits along seven of the golf course fairways. is a townhouse development perched on the bluffs above Kamloops Lake. There are 52 homes in total in this town house development. Bluff, golf and resort lots are available for building your dream home at Tobiano. They range in size from 6,000 to 20,000 square feet. Golf bay and equestrian lots at Tobiano are conveniently located close to the equestrian centre. These lots are some of Tobiano’s largest single family home lots.
Dallas is mainly comprised of single family homes. Most of the homes in this area are predominantly mature homes located on large flat lots. Many homeowners have numerous fruit trees in their back yards. Since the lots in Dallas are flat, there are many in-ground pools. Dallas is a relatively quiet, calm neighbourhood. There are quite a few riverfront properties on Furrer Road, Pearce Place, Chakur Drive, McIver Place and Beverly Place.
A newer development of townhouses is located at 5200 Dallas Drive. These townhouses range in size from 900 square feet to over 1,900 square feet inside. This townhouse development was constructed in 2004. Each home has a single car garage and a small back yard. Dallas Town Centre will be located next to this townhouse development. The condos range from one bedroom, one bathroom to three bedroom, two bathroom units. The Town Centre will also house commercial space as well.
