The average home in Kamloops is still a quarter million! How is that affordable by the masses... we have Convergys closing within a month now, even a $20.00 /hr job can't afford a 1/4 million mortgage realistically.

The prices are partly due to baby boomers not downsizing quick enough. They're empty nesters and they figure if they can't get at least $250,000 for their home, they ain't movin!

It is good to see that the affordability of homes is improving. Home prices in Kamloops have been so high over the past few years it is making things unaffordable for buyers to get into the market.
